C2NET aims to create cloud-enabled tools for supporting the SMEs supply network optimization of manufacturing and logistic assets based on collaborative demand, production and delivery plans.
The functional objectives are to provide new:
• OF1. Ways to securely store relevant information from supply network partners.
• OF2. Tools for supporting the supply network optimization of manufacturing and logistic assets.
• OF3. Tools to support decision-makers in collaborative processes.
• OF4. Cloud space for allowing access to all the participants in the value chain to support their decisions and processes enhancement.
C2NET services have complete visibility and real-time status of the entire supply chain at all times looking for an optimal response to maximize both local and global benefit.
The industrial scenarios and requirements analysis of the project has been performed. C2NET reference model and architecture are ready to be used.
The development of a set of optimization and simulation algorithms for solving and giving support to the planning processes, has finished. The development and integration of all the components that shape the C2NET OPT has been initiated.
The knowledge base definition and the modelling service have been finalized. Advances on the detection, adaptation and assessment services have been performed.
Several versions of C2NET solution have been obtained, containing the initial implementations of the PaaS for Manufacturing, DCF, OPT and COT modules.
The specifications for the four industrial pilots have been finalized and new pilots, demonstrators and related competence centres have been identified.
Dissemination and exploitation activities have been continued with the updating of the C2NET portal and the identification of the potential business concepts in order to introduce C2NET results into the market. Discussions are in place with other FoF-1-2014 projects to create an industrial cluster.
Agile Workflows and Agile Supply chains
C2NET Collaborative Tools are dedicated to provide the supply-chain network with agility through the comparison between the actual situation and the expected situation. The divergences will be analysed to suggest any adaptation mechanism to perform agility.
Cloud computing
One of the major challenges in Cloud Computing is the automation of the lifecycle of services. C2NET will take advantage of the Cloud to support the automated lifecycle management of these domain services based on agreed SLA.
Collaborative Networks
The main contribution is focused on the research and technical development to overcome possible barriers encountered when enterprises participate in collaborative networks characterised by distributed partners with decentralised information.

The C2NET Collaborative Platform will incorporate interoperability functionalities to facilitate the enterprise legacy systems integration in order to work in a harmonised way at all the levels of the enterprise.

The C2NET Platform will use Event-Driven Architecture infrastructure in order to connect components, devices and end-user services through the Information Systems of the stakeholders.

C2NET is intended to generate business domain services for manufacturing in the supply chain: a) it will be proposed to cloudify supply chain manufacturing models providing manufacturing cloud services based on those models and b) it will be designed and prototyped the required IT basic services for supporting the supply chain manufacturing services having in mind the specific requirements of those environments.
Internet of Everything (IoE)
C2NET will propose a set of tools supported by IoE. IoE will allow C2NET project to apply advanced computing operations to process large volumes of real-time manufacturing data and perform analysis.
Manufacturing Processes Management
C2NET will provide tools for the new generation of Manufacturing Process Management tools (ERP, MES, PLM, …) supporting real collaboration among the actors of the value chain. C2NET cloud enabled technologies will efficiently support decision-makers in the extended and collaborative business processes based..
Manufacturing Processes Optimization
The C2NET Optimizer will provide tools to support manufacturing networks in the optimization of manufacturing and logistics assets by the collaborative computation of production plans, replenishment plans and delivery plans. Existing optimization algorithms will be adapted and new optimization ones have been developed to integrate collaborative decision-making. Current APS, ERP, MRP and MES lack of such kind of collaborative optimization.
Mobile Computing
C2NET Project will provide information to the different users of the systems through mobile devices (tablets, smartphones, laptops…). C2NET platform will allow the possibility to access monitoring information to different workers in the factories to ensure the performance of the production systems based on the current production plans. Current control and monitoring of production systems is done in control offices and PCs closed to production lines, reducing the performance of workers and decision makers.
Ontologies
They will be used for the generation of collaborative knowledge base considering the business domain and collaborative structure. These models will be updated to get the current state of the system with the data generated by suppliers, producers and customers. Anomalies in the system will be identified from these models to propose adaption to prevent the divergence that is happening and improve the performance of the processes.
