Summary

\"The #Dieselgate Emissions Scandal brings back a public attention to the unsafe levels of NOx and carcinogenic diesel particulates in Europe. This has already opened the new discussion about emission and its regulation power’s ability to regulate industry and service globally. SUM aims to support the European manufacturers to easily and quickly reach the new targets set and to regain the advantage in the eco-friendly car market. The Anyoon engine will be able to offer a change in competitiveness for current liquid hydrocarbon fuelled cars, whilst maintaining EU leadership in fuel-efficient and emission friendly vehicles.\"

Work performed

\"The Phase 1 Feasibility Study has allowed SUM to enhance their knowledge of the existing technologies and competition, existing CO2 regulations and Internal Combustion Engine standards; to deeply analyse the engine application to small passenger vehicles; to develop an industrialization plan; and finally to develop a commercialization plan and to establish a viable business model.

SUM has achieved the technical and business feasibility objectives defined in the PH1 proposal, by identifying profiles of key stakeholders, carrying out a deep market discussion with the leading OEMs, conducting comprehensive market, customer and risk analysis, considering market entry barriers and competition, preparing the IP and marketing strategy and 5 years financial projections; defining a minimum viable product, establishing the engineering and the industrialization plans.

The Feasibility Study also showed that the Anyoon engine can have a rapid market penetration and reach the BEP in the second year. SUM’s asset light business model avoids massive capital investment and enables the rapid scale-up of manufacturing from the leading OEMs to European vehicle manufacturers. #Dieselgate scandal that recently overwhelmed the world, has completely pushed automotive companies to invest in ‘eco-friendly’ vehicles.

Final results

Anyoon innovation business project aims to significantly contribute to eco-friendly, secure, competitive and sustainable transport principles, thus fulfilling today’s need for low emission, high fuel efficiency and cost-effective vehicle power generation solutions. The expected outcome of the project is to complete and validate a design of the compact, high efficiency and low emission engine. The Anyoon engine will be able to provide 78% efficiency, without creating additional emission and noise.
