This new understanding is valuable by itself and will help society because superconductivity can play an important role for energy transfer and storage, sensing, and (quantum) computing.
We have already starting taking data on unconventional superconductors. We have found a new high frequency effect that allows us to better understand how electrons behave in these materials.
