System integration of first multiplexed neural interfaces with digital outputDiscrete electronics, ASIC, data management and packaging developments to integrate the developed small area neural interfaces with frequency-domain multiple access (FDMA) multiplexing technique of up to 8x8 recording sites into electrophysiological recording systems. This first ASIC also includes the A/D conversion of all the multiplexed channels but not any digital post-processing oriented to data compression. This deliverable improves the initial description of D2.1 by introducing a novel continuous-time multiplexing capability, whose number of channels can be up-scaled in the subsequent deliverables.
