Summary

1. Summary of the action context and objectives
The project intended to contribute to smart growth in Thuringia (Germany) by increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of investments in research, development and innovation. The services offered by STIFT had to focus on the increase and acceleration of the economic returns from innovation by
- facilitating and accompanying dedicated business coaching for successful proposers of H2020 SME instrument, Fast Track to Innovation or FET open
- identifying and addressing gaps in the innovation management capacity of Thuringian SMEs in a systematic and professional way

Work performed

The consortium has provided KAM Services to all 3 SME instrument beneficiaries from Thuringia during the 2017-2018 project period.

There were no successful proposers for Fast Track to Innovation or FET open calls yet.

EIMC services have been provided to 14 companies from Thuringia coming from various sectors (IT, energy, smart textiles, life sciences, environment, transport & logistics and sustainable construction).

Final results

Regarding KAM services it can be stated, that from our perspective, phase 2 beneficiaries (which we were working with for the first time in this period) are really keen to cooperate in order to make the most out of the coaching.
The improved communication of professional innovation management as an important and integrated precondition for being ready for growth as well as for going international has definitely paid off.
The results of the project reflect the capacity building and experiences we made in the previous years. Feedback of our clients and impact assessments show, that the KAM and EIMC services have been integrated into the EEN service portfolio in a sustainable way.
