Summary

PowerModule project was set to commercialize the further developed Penguin PTO (Power Take Off) system together with pilot customer with whom the demonstrator is developed ready to market.
PowerModule is a stand alone device which converts the wave movement into electricity. Structure is compact and scalable and offers power for remote areas and applications.

Work performed

First step has been to develop a mid-scale device and finally in customer case the full-size device to demonstrate the performance and its capability. At the same time the other market potential for different applications is explored.
However, PowerModule project mobilizes its mid-scale module testing in Gulf of Finland and plans to run it as long as the ice condition allows. After the ice season testing continues in the late March 2019.
Project has reserved for running additional sea tests in south during the winter time.

Final results

PowerModule is a compact stand-alone power generation system which is expected to revolutionize the off shore power production in remote applications.
Applications are expected to be continuous type processes.
PowerModule project is open for suitable partners to the role of customer.
