Circular supply/value chains development report

\"\"\"This deliverable is related to tasks 4.1 and 4.2:
Part A: Report on best supply chain practices: This report will present a detailed analysis of the best practices from industry in closed loop supply chain design, as well as relevant concepts, methodologies and standards. It will provide the consortium with an overview of the state-of-the-art in current supply chain methods that can contribute to the circular supply chain implementation, identifying key methodological gaps and critical success factors for the implementation work. This report, together with the baseline reports from WP2 and WP3, will serve as basis for the design and optimization of demonstrator-specific circular value/supply chains.
Part B: This part of the report will focus on operational supply chain processes and elaborate the best feasible forward and reverse supply chain network(s) for the white good and the automotive parts demonstrator. Where applicable, simulation techniques will be used to support decision making. Using case-specific scenarios the report will consider supply chain performance criteria, such as materials management, forecasting, lot sizing, inventory levels and transportation routes. The impact of business model and product design configurations on circular supply chain performance will be analyzed, which may include among others:
• End-of-life design strategies (reuse, remanufacturing, recycling) on component, module and/or product level
• Length of product use phases
• Customer service-level agreements
• Product collection cost
This deliverable will serve as input to infrastructure requirements of circular supply chains in D4.3 as well as for evaluation efforts in D4.4.\"\"\"

Baseline and target design report

This deliverable relates to task 3.1: Defining the current baseline and the target circular design methodologies. This task will analyse and evaluate current design practices in place with the 2 OEMs, in order to evaluate the impact of design strategies for reuse, design for prolonged life, design for remanufacturing and design for recycling. The deliverable is a report on analyses and evaluation of current design practices in place with the 2 OEMs.

Report on non-technical barrier and legal issues

This deliverable is related to task 6.1: This report will include an evaluation of all non-technical barriers and legal issues for service based business models in the target EU countries, including market access conditions, legal frameworks for pay-per-use models, liability issues related to multiple life cycles. This will be a report based on the review of the state-of-the-art scientific publications, reports and legal documents. This report will be a support to the OEMs to plan their demonstrators in a way that the ptential impacts of the identified barriers have been addressed and minimized.
