 Project objective

Increasing reduced fertility of men is a globally growing problem. It remains unexplained in several cases. One possible reason, asymptotic anaerobe bacterial infection, which is hardly detectable by currently applied clinical practice. We developed an effective bacterial infection detection method for human semen. Our technology does not require cell culturing, makes possible direct sample analysis without pre-conditioning, and can detect anaerobic bacteria species without anaerobic sampling and processing. We aim to standardise our measurement protocol carry out a detailed clinical validation, to commercialise our technology for medical laboratory service providers and private andrology clinics. In this Phase 1 project we shall prepare for the clinical validation and make a comprehensive business plan to attract investors.
