Consortium CIPRAASME successfully implemented specific support services to help high potential SMEs to improve Innovation Management Capacity and increase efficiency in SME projects and foster their impact. However, due to the shorter delay to implement the services and the novelty of this program, the forecast objectives were partially achieved, but the services would continue within the Enterprise Europe Network programme for 2015-2016. Concerning the KAM, the Consortium provide the service to the beneficiary.
This success was particularly due to:
- Strong experience and solid know how of the staff allow the implementation of these high added value services and an accurate selection of SMEs. We noticed ad strong Involvement and motivation of clients.
- Efficiency of the methodology and tools developed. The tool Checkinnov Entreprise was positively evaluated and declared suitable tool for assessment. Indeed, beside this action the tool has been transferred by the partner CCI Auvergne to CIPRAASME members and to other consortia in France.
- Coordination and exchange of experience within the consortium and network and Stakeholders in innovation of Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne.
- Strong link with Enterprise Europe Network has been set up in particular for the first contact and the promotion of the action : events and communication support...
In the short term, the impact of this action is to raise awareness of companies on innovation management capacity and foster the success of SME instruments\' project. The short period of the program does not allow to measure long term impact for SMEs. However, companies showed a great interest and motivation and the Consortium would continue to follow this impact in the framework of Enterprise Europe Network next program.
The Consortium CIPRAASME initiated 11 packages during this period : 1 KAM and 10 Enhance Innovation Management Capacities.
The methodology and different steps described in the proposal has been implemented successfully. Particularly it was a great challenge for the Consortium to design specific services to implement the action plan.
Concerning Enhance Innovation Management, all the SMEs supported have been assessed. For some of them, an action plan was set up and initiated in 2014. Specific services have been identified and set up like creativity, knowledge management, technology watch, intellectual property management, business development... However the period was too short to finish the action and these services would continue in 2015.
The Consortium was addressed only one Beneficiary of SME Instrument and partner 2 provided the support. Partner 1 was only involved in KAM services and no more beneficiary was selected.
Partner 2 and Partner 3 implemented Enhance Innovation Management Capacities services. Due to staff changed (the resource identified passed away), partner 4 could not implement the action.
The Consortium CIPRAASME planned to achieve 31 packages with 5 to 7 KAM and 24 EIMC. Without any past experience of the H2020 SME Instrument and given the entirely new nature of this program and due to the shorter delay to implement the services, the forecast objectives have not been completely reached. However, many packages and contacts initiate in 2014 would continue in the frame of the next proposal.
The Consortium CIPRAASME chose to plan optimistic results on KAM due to the high number of innovative companies in Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne regions. Unfortunately, few of them decided to apply in the first year of the call and only one company of the consortium was granted and partner 2 provided the support service.
None of the packages are over, so it is difficult to measure the impact. However most of the companies involved in the packages has shown great interest in the action and are really committed in improving their innovation management capacity.
