Summary

\"AMAPEX ENVIRONEMENT S.L has designed a new SYSTEM to be used in industries where wastewater treatment is especially expensive and makes unfeasible the continuation of the company\'s business; Current systems do not solve neither economical nor environmental problems.
We want to provide our customers with a permanent service \"\"ad hoc\"\" based on our system RIBATI and the application of a customized solution. RIBATI is a biological promoter, ideal for the optimization of biological degradation processes of organic matter in polluted soil, sewage and industrial wastewater.
Potential users are all industrial processes that generate water with high organic load.
• Textiles and Tanneries
• Insecticides and Pesticides
• Metal Mechanic
• Hydrocarbons
• Car wash Stations
• Thermal Insulators and Technical Rubber
The microorganism and enzymes contained in RIBATI are highly effective in degrading polyphenol and other recalcitrant organic compounds found in different kinds of organic waste and wastewaters, making it a good complement to optimize and fasten microorganism’s activity in usual biological processes. In addition, AMAPEX ENVIRONEMENT has designed an intelligent dosing unit (SMART DOSING UNIT) that, using its own technology, multiplies the effect of the product by significantly reducing application costs to make them much lower than traditional cleaning costs and, even, much cheaper than the costs of biological treatments.

With this project, AMAPEX ENVIRONEMENT S.L., in addition to solving a very important environmental problem, helping industries to grow in a sustainable manner by reducing their environmental costs, is among the major players in environmental policy, increases its activity and turnover exponentially, creates many jobs of quality work and generates some very important benefits that will allow us to continue developing new environmental solutions in the future.\"

Work performed

\"The work developed since the beginning of the project has been organized into 3 lines of action:

1. PILOT TESTS AND EVIDENCE DEVELOPED IN DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES OF ALL SECTORS OBJECTIVE:
We have selected several companies, in Italy, Spain and Mexico, belonging to the different sectors mentioned in the summary and to other industrial sectors. In these tests, a significant amount of dirty water has been separated from the different industrial processes and has been treated by introducing different varieties of the RIBATI product developed by us. At the beginning of the pilot, the most important parameters are evaluated (COD -Oxygen Chemical Demand-, Concentration of oils and fats, Ammonium concentration, Conductivity, pH, Content of organic solvents) and at the end of the process (normally 3 to 5 days ) the analyzes are repeated, assessing the decrease in pollution parameters.
In almost all the cases analyzed, the decrease in pollution parameters has been very important, reaching values much lower than those reached by traditional methods. An exception has been found in two types of industries: first, the lactic complexes in which the bacterium \"\"Lactobacillus\"\", present in the waters, frontally attacks our microorganisms, making their activity impossible; in second place, the industries of the meat sector and slaughterhouses, in which the enormous amounts of water generated and the little storage capacity of the same do not allow the slow performance of the biological processes.

2. DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTELLIGENT DOSER that, analyzing and accumulating data of treated water, multiplies the effect of the RIBATI System, reducing water treatment costs to almost ridiculous levels if we compare them with conventional treatments. This unit, developed internally, will be patented together with the entire System and is the basis of the industrial success that we foresee for our RIBATI system.

3. MARKET STUDY AND BUSINESS PLAN. Using data already known to our team and international databases of the water and waste sector, we have been able to create a fairly accurate photograph of the volume and typology of the sectors to which we want to direct our action. This has allowed us to carry out, subsequently, a 5-year Business Plan, in which the projected results are very encouraging and allow us to think about the development of new environmental solutions.\"

Final results

During Phase I: AMAPEX has been able to discuss with experts in the field and to contact partners to scale up production of Smart Dose Unit (SDU) components and get the effective distribution of the produt. The main conclusions are:
1. There is a huge market for industrial wastewater treatment which dosen´t have a competitive solution.
2. Current biological treatment are not as efficient as RIBATI in terms of cost and performance and RIBATI could be complementary to current procedures.
3. AMAPEX will offer two different solutions (BASIC and ACTIVE) depending on the client plus customized services. RIBATI SYSTEM cost structure allows us a competitve price meanwhile obtaining an attractive margin of 68% (average).
4. In a first step, we will concentrate our efforts in specific sectors, and countries, where RIBATI SYSTEM has been proved more effective and where AMAPEX already has some entry doors.

AMAPEX has the necessary internal resources to promote this project and has already identified industrial partners and potential distributors who are very kin to participate in the project.

On the other hand, the implementation of the project in Phase 2, will mean, on the one hand, the creation of many quality jobs, the development of a specific laboratory for the development of new solutions and agreements with Universities and Technology Centers for the study of sustainable and economic solutions to a problem that increases with the development of industry around the world.
