Summary

During the Feasibility Study, we assessed the technical, commercial and financial feasibility of our innovation project. We analysed the Pulp & Paper market and identified the first Chemicals segment for introducing our process control technology. We established the technical roadmap to launch in the market our new range of products and carefully analysed our target markets and the value that our system unlocks for our customers. Based on our market analysis, we fine-tuned our commercialisation plan for fast and wide market adoption.

Work performed

From the technical side, we established the work plan to advance our products to TRL-9, we analysed the technical risks, established their mitigation actions and identified methods to scale-up our product development process to meet market demand. From the commercial side, we analysed the market and the drivers that will fuel ACOSPECTOR market adoption. We optimised our commercialization strategy for fast market entry and tuned our marketing plan to maximise ACOSPECTOR market awareness. Our Freedom to Operate analysis evidenced that our system does not infringe any intellectual property right, and our competition analysis confirmed our lead over the state of the art. We validated the financial viability of our project, we projected our sales for the commercialization period, and established the financial plan for implementing our product development roadmap.

Final results

ACOSPECTOR will greatly improve the resource and energy efficiency of the Pulp & Paper industry enabling the transition to Circular economy. In the pulp processing industry, our technology will allow our customers to save more than 36GWh per year, which can be fed to district heating systems and help saving 9,850 tons of CO2 emissions per year. In the paper processing industry, ACOSPECTOR will reduce the non-premium production, enabling the sustainable utilization of paper. In the Chemical industry, ACOSPECTOR, being non-intrusive, will greatly improve Health & Safety in the field.
