 Project objective

Dyme introduces an application that enables consumers to take complete control over their financial situation.

The number of paid subscriptions per person is increasing rapidly. As a result, consumers experience a lack of overview, and find it increasingly difficult to manage their finances. This is evident in the fact that 53% of the people between 18 and 35 forget to cancel at least one unwanted subscription annually (Nibud, 2018). Furthermore, switching an negotiating between providers on a yearly basis is lucrative for consumers, yet perceived to be a substantial effort.

It is increasingly difficult to manage expenses. People are trying to save money, while unknowingly paying for subscriptions they do not use. Switching, cancelling or renegotiating contracts on a yearly basis can save customers €720 per year.

Dyme introduces an application that enables consumers to take complete control over their recurring expenses. Users connect their bank account, and Dyme uses machine learning techniques to detect their memberships. Thereafter, users can switch or cancel subscriptions with a single click. There is currently no application that provides a complete overview of all recurring expenses and provides its users an instant mechanism to act on this information. Dyme offers a solution that is both innovative and convenient and accessible for all Europeans.
