\"From 2005 to 2016 the turnover of the global space industry doubled to $ 339 billion, the share of private companies exceeded 76%.
In order for any product to be considered \"\"space ready\"\" it must be tested in operating conditions in space simulators according the ESA standards. Today a large number of EU start-ups, SMEs and universities want to enter space market, but their demand is too high for existing testing facilities, which are too large, too expensive and therefore not available for such segment.
The \"\"Metamorphosis\"\" project will help the EU companies to enter the Global Space market, gain more value and create new jobs for European society.
The overall objective of the project is to make an alternative to the existing stationary space simulators and their services by creation cheap and accessible service.\"
During feasibility study:
-The data base of ~600 potential clients was created
-Researched ~200 testing facilities
-Individually addressed survey was performed, identified and met potential clients, explained the project to larger public in international events
-Analyzed 101 positive feedbacks
-Analyzed patents
-Reserached labor market, the markets of materials, potential producers, price ranges, calculated expenses of the facility developing, launching of the service, and price policy, calculated time schedule and Gannt diagram
-Business plan was created.
Information was disseminated by participating international events and sending the presentation to ~600 potential clients.
The project is a cutting-edge innovation creating a niche market in testing small to medium sized objects with number of tests all-in-one without leaving a testing chamber, providing need documentation by travelling with qualified testing team, visiting customers in their premisest. The breaking point of the “Metamorphosis†idea is the mobility itself.
By increasing availability of space testing, more EU companies can take on the roles in the global programs of Moon and Mars colonization. It will extend the lifespan of the satellites and reduce the space debris problem.
Main results and conclusions:
-There is a huge demand for testing;
-Large part of developing companies have no budget for testing in huge stationary facilities, but ready to purchase cheap mobile service;
-101 project positive feedback, including 45 detailed requests for our service received, together with feasibility report and business plan prove the project concept and the need to it\'s continue.
