Summary

JOT intends to bring to the market the first high-quality and, at the same time, low-cost solution (multi-device, cross-channel, multi-language and cross-border) for automating the optimisation of online advertisement investments of SMEs. The virtual Advertisement Agent YODA will integrate automatic campaign creation, automatic bidding and automatic optimisation modules based on a big data analytics module that permanently monitors and analyses traffic data, taking the best decisions for the SME. YODA is a fully automated and integrated tool that can support companies in their decisions and investments, maximising the results obtained from their online advertising budget. Our ambition is to become the preferred advertising tool for SMEs not requiring any knowledge on online marketing nor any technical skills.
There are challenges to overcome that are particularly relevant to new entrants, such as increasing complexity, fraudulent traffic, multi-channel possibilities and other aspects that make extremely complex to optimise online marketing strategies without the specialised support from advertising agencies.

Work performed

During phase 1 JOT has performed a comprehensive market study, with more approximately 500 SMEs from some of the target markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK) and competitors’ analysis. As a result for these activities the business opportunity has been confirmed thanks to the identification of a true blue ocean opportunity for YODA.
From the technical point of view JOT has defined in detail the necessary steps to develop the market-ready version of YODA. IP protection and FTO has been confirmed thanks to the grant of the patent that summarises “System and method for automating and managing online advertisements”. Patent was filled on 19/9/2014 and grant was confirmed on 28/07/2015. It is also worth mentioning that YODAs algorithm is protected as copyright and has been registered in the United States copyright office under the number 1-3281308751.

Final results

Some of the main benefits that YODA will offer are: Time reduction up to 90%, Increase of 70% in ROI (conversion rate), 25% increased efficiency due to fraudulent traffic filters and reduction of intermediary fees. Also, the possibility for SMEs to have a better online presence without the need of technical skills.
