DOCTRINA is a new market-oriented ICT solution built as a virtual open space for further education, barrier-free communication and sharing between users. Our platform is built on a novel and cost-efficient model, and has been validated in 4 countries where pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals form a global network of over 40000 pharmacies and over 50 pharmaceutical companies.
Pharmaceutical companies need to guarantee the support and further training of prescribing doctors and dispensing pharmacists, to promote a more rational use of medicines and healthcare expenditure. DOCTRINA supports this global community of users, disrupting the way pharmaceutical providers communicate with healthcare givers. Our solution allows for direct target-based communication between these two groups of professionals. It is especially designed to respond to today’s challenges faced by the healthcare industry when dealing with the use of pharmaceutical products.
During the feasibility period we have prepared an optimization plan based on improving DOCTRINA’s functionalities for 3 types of users.
We have identified risks and the selected contingency measures.
We have conducted a market analysis to confirm the market potential and a favorable horizon for DOCTRINA.
We have performed an in depth FTO analysis and we have confirmed that there are no direct competitors for DOCTRINA.
We have validated our financial projections and growth strategy.
We have prepared a business plan supported by the feasibility of the project.
The current model is based on support through sales representatives. However, this system is not effective, due to the lack of time of healthcare professionals for commercial visits, the lack of global systems that give access to many products at a time, and the lack of useful education on specific products. Not only are doctors and pharmacists increasingly reluctant to visits by pharmaceutical sales representatives but these also filter doctors whom they want to visit. This inadequate support to drug prescribers and dispensers results in costly market launch of new products, low adoption and their incorrect use.
DOCTRINA will enable pharmaceutical companies to drive their business more efficiently, while offering better support related to pharmaceutical products. The practice of healthcare professionals will improve, thanks to this emphasis on open source information, education and training that will lead to better adherence to medicines by patients.
