 Project objective

We have developed an affordable and easy-to-adopt way of securing cold chains: Tempix time-temperature smart labels. Our labels guarantee that products are handled at the correct temperature throughout the entire cold chain. If the product is exposed to conditions above the stipulated temperature for an extended period, the bar code will be blocked rendering it unsellable. We provide a complete turnkey solution comprising a 2- in-1 thermal label printer and a cover label applicator. The market has welcomed our innovation. Nowadays, Tempix labels secure LIDL’s fresh fish cold chains in Finland. Furthermore, we are running pilots with other prestigious companies around the world. For all its virtues we are aware of the limitations of our solution. Tempix printers are big and require compressed air to operate. These factors restrict our targeted users to major primary food producers and factories with large single story floor space. For Tempix technology to reach its full potential, it is necessary to develop a desktop-sized version of our system. To scale up, we must scale down. In this Phase 1 study, we will scout for the most suitable technology and manufacturing partner to achieve miniaturisation. Simultaneously, we will develop a strategy for market deployment.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "TEMPIX" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
