 Project objective

Legal systems are critical for a prosper society. From individual to governmental levels, we all are involved in these systems and must deal with a series of legal documents to interact with our administrations, companies and other individuals. Legal documentation can make the difference between a perfectly operative entity and a massive failure. Since the late 90s, IT systems aimed at efficiently manage legal documentation, but they are incapable of satisfying the needs of the modern society. Indeed, up to 75% of entities still elaborate their legal documents manually, which involves several problems: (1) Massive amounts of work hours (around 120 minutes per document); (2) High costs (near €54 per document); (3) Human errors due to the inherent need for human intervention. BIGLE IBERIA S.L. co-founders have realized about this problem and have launched the company in 2016, developing a first version of Bigle Legal Software. Now the company has 18 high-skilled professionals in the legal and technology sector and it is working in the future version of Bigle Legal, which based on advanced techniques of Natural Language Processing (NLP) automates most of the work involved in creating and managing legal documents and applying Artificial intelligence (AI) understands what the document is and what the users want, leveraging much of the repetitive work and leaving them customize the resulting document to match their specific needs. The target users will be initially Law firms, Real Estate companies and Notaries and in future stages it will be extended to in-house legal departments and individual lawyers. BIGLE IBERIA is very well known in the Real Estate and Legal sectors, having engaged relevant clients with worldwide presence. Using Bigle Legal, they will be able to complete a legal document in 10 minutes at a cost of €5 which, for a medium-sized firm it would represent 11,000 man hours and ~€295,000 savings/ year.
