'The project REGGAE sets as its main goal to enhance public recognition of researchers and their role in society and to encourage young people in Bulgaria to embark on scientific career. For achieving its main goal, the following project objectives are: -to disclose to the public the hidden sides of life and work of researchers, and show them as professionals and ordinary people; -to raise the public awareness on the contribution of researchers to society, to its progress and development; -to highlight the EU emphasis on its researchers and the opportunities for them in the large European labour market; -to make science and the respective career attractive for young people. The project REGGAE will aim to provide various opportunities to Bulgarians to interact and have fun with researchers. The project activities will take place in several Bulgarian cities, where researchers will guide the public into the secrets of archaeology and history, and the technology supporting them, will interact with young people in the Atelier of young talents, and enjoy the public with life performances, jokes on researchers, experiments and joined games. The project aims to prepare high visible activities designed in accordance with the target audience. Most of them are focused on facilitating the dialogue between researchers and the public at large, and especially providing young people with opportunity to interact with researchers in a not traditional environment, and to learn more on scientific and technology issues of the day. For the first time an accent will be put also on the visualisation of the researchers through specific tasks as presentations, multimedia, photographs which will ameliorate public acceptance of the “normal” image of the researchers and will facilitate the interaction with the media.'
