Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)
Security has always been a stepchild to the developers of embeddednsystems. In the past they were able to rely on physicalnprotection. Due to the connectivity and ubiquity of today's embeddednsystems this is no longer possible. The aim of SecFutur is to developnand establish a security engineering process for embedded systems. Innorder to achieve this overall goal SecFutur will provide a set ofnimplemented resource-efficient security building blocks for embeddednsystems, each addressing a specific complex non-functionalnrequirement, and a security engineering framework that supports thendeveloper in integrating these building blocks into the overallnengineering process. SecFutur targets the developer of embeddednsystems who by using the project results will be able to follow annapplication driven security engineering approach and increase thenoverall security of the system. Practical scenarios from severalnsecurity-relevant application areas will be used in SecFutur tonevaluate and demonstrate the advances towards securenresource-efficient embedded systems.
