 Project objective

Hand-script is immediate, freeform and uniquely personal to each of us which makes it ideal to express their creativity. The feature has been incorporated as an innovative input method in digital devices such as smart phones, tablets, notebooks and TVs through Digital Inking. However, enabling hand-script digitalisation in existing smartphones, tablets and notebooks requires the use of the multi-touch screen feature, which is fully dependant on device battery. Activating the hand-script digitalisation causes a sharp rise in battery consumption and induces reduced device autonomy, reduced battery life and overheating of the battery. In addition to that, enabling the feature in large displays such TVs and digital whiteboards requires several additional manufacturing steps ranging from material coating to electrical circuitry and control electronics. These additional steps are cost intensive which increases the overall cost of the large displays (entry price ~5k USD for 55” digital whiteboard. NANOGA is cognizant of these problems and is introducing a digital ink solution, (NANOGA Digital Layer) that will enable digital hand-scripting on smartphones, tablets, notebooks and TVs that is derived from a universal anti-counterfeiting technology that we developed to fit into all manufactured luxury watches (DNAwatch). The technology comprises of a fully transparent passive quantum nano-layer embedded in the inner side of a device screen glass and a UV-enabled stylus to manipulate the ink. Our digital ink will have fewer material process steps and excludes any circuitry and electronics post-processing, enabling hand-script digitalization in all display devices without any design/manufacturing. The cover glass has zero impact on device battery, increasing the battery cycle time by more than 30%. A reduction in the production cost will reduce the price of devices by the following factors; smartphones (>5 in) ~25%, tablets (>10 in) ~50%, large displays (>55 in) ~75%.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "NANODINK" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
