 Project objective

The Internet of Medical things (IoMT), a multi hundred billion Euro market by 2028, presents an opportunity to revolutionize healthcare by collecting and analysing real time patient data. The IoMT brings together the digital and physical worlds to improve the speed and accuracy of diagnosis and treatments, and monitor and modify patient behaviour and health status in real time. It improves health care organisations’ operational productivity and effectiveness by streamlining clinical processes, information and work flows. Therefore medical device companies need to transform into data companies. BUT IoMT is inherently complex, and vendors face Major skill and technology gaps they must overcome in areas such as cyber security, Data Privacy and Quality regulations as well as scaling IoMT solutions to support Millions of devices worldwide. The bio-T™ platform is HIPAA & GDPR compliant, designed specifically for connected medical devices with the aim of reducing risk and saving valuable time, money and focus for healthcare innovators. The bio-T™ platform is an IoMT specific solution built to be flexible, secure, and cloud-agnostic, saving innovators the need to “reinvent the wheel” for their own device. Designed to provide complete flexibility and data ownership, the bio-T™ platform is a software allowing quick and affordable device connectivity and healthcare-related functions, including adherence management, remote patient monitoring, regulation compliance (US FDA & HIPAA, EU ISO & GDPR), and verification and validation protocols. bio-T is home for expert IoT, cloud and mobile app engineers, and has years of experience developing outstanding solutions for connected healthcare products. The IoMT market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30.8 per cent, from €37 billion in 2017 to €158 billion by 2022. The tens of thousands of companies worldwide represent a €9b market size for bio-T.
