 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'The overall objective of the CSA is to support the development and the implementation of the Joint Programme Initiative A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life (HDHL) promoting healthy lifestyles. The CSA will coordinate the activities within the Joint Programming Initiative and support the development of a strategic agenda for harmonised and structured research activities in the area of food, nutrition and health.

Vision The vision of the JPI on A healthy diet for a healthy life is that in 2030 all Europeans will have the motivation, ability and opportunity to choose a healthy diet from a variety of foods and the incidence of diet-related diseases will have decreased significantly.

Strategy Joint programming or effective integration of research in the food-, nutritional-, social- and health sciences with enough critical mass will deliver innovative, novel and improved concepts and knowledge that will contribute significantly to the construction of a fully operational European Research Area on the prevention of diet-related diseases and strengthen leadership and competitiveness of the agri-food industry.

Strategic goal To change dietary patterns based on developments in food-, nutritional-, social- and health sciences and develop new innovative product formats, that will, together with concomitant changes in physical activity, have a major impact on improving public health, increasing the quality of life and prolonging productive life.'
