 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'Researchers' Night in Serbia 2012, entitled “Science in Motion for Friday Night Commotion” (SCIMFONICOM), will be organized by the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE), Institute for Biological Research (IBR) and Faculty of Physical Chemistry (FPC), members of the University of Belgrade, highly experienced in organization and implementation of science promotion and popularization events. The objectives of the project are to offer Serbian people from the capital city and rural communities attractive program that combines science and entertainment, to attract large number of participants to the event, to organize broad range of activities for all the categories of the public and to enable direct contact between participants and researchers. Massive media campaign will be launched to announce the manifestation and to get rural communities interested in hosting the event. Researchers’ Night 2012 in Serbia will take place in at least three rural places and in Belgrade, where the program will be set on several locations in Knez Mihailova Street, pedestrian zone in city center. The following activities will be organized during Researchers’ Night: Science Vans (SVans) – teams of researchers dispatched to at least three rural places to perform a set of hands on experiments with participants; Grand Tour of Science – great events from history of mankind demonstrated in chronological order and guided by scientists; Treasure Hunt – completing a set of hands on experiments designed as several entertaining tasks following enclosed map; Science Debate Club – a few „hot“ scientific topics presented and debated by high school students and scientists; Science (in) Fiction – discussion on scientific background of several clips from different science fiction movies; European Corner – learning and entering a quiz competition about famous European scientists to win the opportunity to visit a science laboratory and be a researcher for one day.'
