'Objectives
The objective of the Andalucía Talent Hub Fellowship Programme is to support the training of experienced researchers and help them in their career development with opportunities of mobility and complete freedom of choice of their research field, while they remain connected to the ERA through work contracts with the research institutions aggregated in Campuses of International Excellence based in Andalucía.
The results of their research should lead to significant improvements in technology transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship; and desirably, in the productivity and sustainable development of Europe through the modernisation of its SMEs and traditional manufacturing industries, an issue of particular relevance in Andalucía, Spain, whose Regional Government will co-fund this project.
Implementation
A new fellowship programme launched by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science (CEIC in its initials in Spanish) will contribute to the achievement of these goals. The CEIC is the government department in charge of both RDi and economic policies, which allows for a better connection between research and industry in an effort to translate knowledge into valuable products and services.
The CEIC currently manages pre-doctoral fellowships in regional and foreign institutions. Within this framework, it has now designed a new international mobility programme addressed to postdoctoral candidates engaged in outgoing and incoming mobility schemes.
We are aiming at 50 excellent candidates that will be selected through two open calls, in a merit-based competition founded on international peer review. They will be offered a competitive economic incentive and excellent working conditions for two years.
Relevance
This program becomes relevant as a stimulus for attracting and retaining the best talent and as a contribution to the strengthening of the human potential in research and technology in Europe, and specifically in Andalucía.'
