'AGORA’ project is a continuation, a deepening and an enlargement of the very successful COME IN project which took part to the Researchers’ Night 2006 FP6 programme. Based on the success of the 2006 edition (more than 4.000 participants, twice more than anticipated, - http://www.infn.it/nottedellaricerca/ for details) the 2007 edition intends to re-propose all the successful activities held in 2006 (as visits to the Institutes; activities for children; Saperi/Sapori festival; researchers’ hobby exhibit; concert with researchers as artists) and to realize new activities meant to bring the total number of potential participants to more than 10.000 (could even be double). In order to do this, new activities will be performed outside the Research Institutes – in the main squares, in cinemas, restaurants, parks, streets, libraries, etc of Castelli Romani towns, completing the activities held in the research Institutes. This enlargement is going to “close the circle”, so reflecting better the spirit of Researchers’ Night objectives: public comes into researchers’ homes and researchers go to public places. The multi-facets of researchers in society will be explored and exploited in a more complete way. AGORA’ addressed to the general public, with well-identified parallel and correlated activities, dedicated to the very young children, to teenagers and for el/older public. The researchers from Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati – the biggest one of the INFN Institute, the organizing Institute, will actively participate, together with researchers from Institutes in the Frascati area, as ENEA, ESRIN, CNR and INAF, and of Roman Universities. A strong contribution will also come from territorial/regional administrations, INFN administration, from various libraries, cinemas, radio-stations and editing houses, as well as and from local producers strongly involved in the AGORA’ activities.'
