 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

The objective of this project is to develop the coordination of the research in the economics of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Europe. nnICT have been a major driver of productivity and growth over the last two decades. Today ICT are one of the keys to emerging from the economic crisis and putting countries back on a path to sustainable growth. This project would contribute to achieve these objectives.nnOur proposal is to bring together the main research groups into a network which would:nnenhance our understanding of the economic effects of ICT; and nincrease the policy relevance of the research in this field.nnThe project focuses on four areas:nnICT, Growth and Productivity;nICT, R&D and Intangibles;nICT-enabled innovation; andnICT diffusion to the Economy. nnTo achieve its objectives, the project would rely on:nna network of over 30 research institutions with an established research record on the economics of ICT;na coordination group composed of 4 leading institutions;na series of 8 cross-thematic workshops;na series of 4 issues papers and 4 assessment papers;nan interactive website;na final report.nnThe duration of the project is 2 years.
