 Project objective

In a wireless world, where users and things demand a growing hyper-connectivity, offering a quality WiFi service for final users is almost impossible. This is due to the fact that the current trends promote a captive market and vendor lock-in. Nobody is facing effectively the problem of high-density, high-interfering, next-generation WiFi networks. Galgus has come to solve this problem, by disaggregating WiFi optimization and management software from hardware, pursuing a collaboration paradigm for APs (Access Points). The technology proposed in ECOWIFI solves the pains of the main players in this sector: Network Owners (easy and affordable operation, maintenance, updating, and analytics), System Integrators (vendor-independence and optimization), and Hardware Manufacturers (cost of developing their own research lines).

We have created Cognitive HotspotTM Technology (CHT), a patented, multiplatform, and distributed embedded software for WiFi devices, in order to optimize resources and to bring intelligence to the network. We have shown 12x performance improvement with the same hardware (up to 98% cost reduction), and 2x performance with less hardware (up to 80% cost reduction). CHT pursues a cooperation paradigm for WiFi.

Galgus plans to scale up globally by consolidating CHT as best-class technology for WiFi optimization in the niche markets of connected transport and industry, where there is few competition. The SMEi2 will allow Galgus to position Galgus as Industry Leader in front of the main stakeholders in the value chain. This will allow the company to accelerate its market entry and achieve sales of approx. 30.9 M€ in 2023, with an accumulated net margin of 23.5 M€.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "ECOWIFI" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
