 Project objective

The spaceports target to attract to their business case multiple microlaunch concepts available in the market, while microlaunch concepts look forward to launching from multiple spaceports seeking a launch rate at a wider range of azimuths that enable their business plan goals.

SAMMBA objective is to develop base services that provide cost-effective, agile and flexible launch campaigns, empowering spaceports to operate multiple launch concepts while fitting in the cost and the launch rate targeted in the payload market. That goal is tackled through two main axes: the base services design through model engineering systems and the implantation of innovative 4.0 technologies. That approach provides standard and modular base services with the capability of being instantiated at several spaceports, opening launch concepts to a multi-spaceport scenario.

SAMMBA main outcome is the deployment of technologies and demonstrators at microlauncher spaceports on the Advisory Board.

As a result, SAMMBA contributes to major goal of increasing European competitiveness in access to space, allowing European Spaceports to offer affordable ground services competing technological and economical for the launch services and payload market.
