 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'The European Union Contest for Young Scientists, an initiative of the European Commission, was set up in 1989 to promote the ideals of cooperation and interchange between young scientists. The Contest is the annual showcase of the best of European student scientific achievement and as such attracts widespread media interest. The 25th EU Contest of Young Scientists will be organized from 20th to 25th September 2013, in Prague, the Czech Republic, at the exhibition grounds of KÅ™ižíkovy pavilóny, in the historical city center. The Host Organizer is the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, together with the Center of Operations and Administration of the Czech Republic and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. The EU Contest gives students the opportunity to compete with the best of their contemporaries at European level. The young scientists also have the chance to meet others with similar abilities and interests and to be guided by some of the most prominent scientists in Europe. In this way, the Commission seeks to strengthen the efforts made in each participating country to attract young people for careers in science and technology. The EU Contest for Young Scientists is part of the Science in Society activities managed by the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission. Within the Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development, and the European Research Area, Science in Society aims to build a more harmonious relationship between scientific endeavour and the European Society at large.'
