 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'Research effects mankind like almost no other process on earth. The main objective of the European Researchers´ Night on the 28 September 2007 is to bring research closer to the public and to start a direct and reciprocal dialog between researchers and the large public. The University of Innsbruck, the Medical University of Innsbruck and the Tyrolean Future Foundation (Austria) as well as the EURAC, the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano and the TIS, Bozen/Bolzano (Italy) have a lot of experience in science communication activities and wide networking. These partners, who are used to work together for events of the same size as the Researchers´ Night, want to show that researchers are a normal group of the population through close dialogs and performances (e.g. experiments) with and for the audience. The event will be addressed to the public through broad PR & Marketing activities. We want to show the European dimension through the participation of researchers being involved in projects of the European Framework Programmes, by using the title EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS´ NIGHT and through a close cooperation with the Europe Direct Tirol of the Tyrolean government (European Information Office) for information and PR activities. We want to be action orientated and surprising through different contests (e.g. drawing competition), activities for children and young people, games, eating & meeting points as well as music performances at different locations. With these activities we will offer an informal, pleasant, enjoyable and attractive atmosphere. We will involve a lot of different institutes form different faculties and different partners of business and industry.'
