'Τhe Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) will organise the 2010 Researchers' Night event in Cyprus, on September 24th 2010 in the frame of the “Sea, Sun and ... Science!” (3S) project. The event will be hosted for the first time in the city of Limassol.
Limassol is a seaside city, known for its history, beaches and unique physical environment, wineries, tradition in food and festivals, which furthermore hosts the only public technological university of Cyprus (Cyprus University of Technology - CUT).
The broad and varied programme of activities, addressing the public at large regardless of age and scientific background, includes a series of interactive activities around themes inspired by Limassol’s characteristics:
o “Hands-on Research Exhibition”, articulated around three thematic pillars: . Food/Health, Technology Applications and Sea/Environment, o “Fun in Science” dedicated to games and fun activities taking place both indoors and outdoors, o European Corner, located in a central part of the event, consisting of several activities relevant to the pan-European character of the event, o “Meet and Greet” sessions with several researchers (up to 20) from different scientific backgrounds, and o Concert by Tat – Tnabar group, well known for its innovative approach to music performances.'
