 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'Thos proposal present novel reagents and tools for the detection and quantification of microRNAs (miRNAs) with a particular focus on miRNA species involved in solid tumours and hematologic cancers. The proposed project will thus provide a new chemical toolbox which will allow the rapid detection of miRNAs involved in cancers. This proposal intends to take advantage of the novel dynamic chemistry approach to profile directly nucleic acids and develop based on it novel tools to provide simple, sensitive, rapid, multiplexed assays to profile miRNAs. The longer-term vision is that this dynamic chemistry approach will enable clinicians to be able to rapidly and accurately diagnose and prognosis cancer by combining the precision of the high affinity molecular probes and novel set of biomarkers based on miRNAs. Therefore, the proposed project is positioned at the interface of chemistry, biology and pre-clinical medicine with three main aims'
