 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

Concept: to hold the European SME Conference (EURO-SME 2013) conference in Dublin, Ireland during Ireland’s Presidency of the European Union in 2013

Objectives:

• To contribute substantially to SME-specific policy development and learning • Position enterprise and other research actors for effective commercialisation of research, • Bring Innovation to the market and facilitating SMEs capabilities for growth and jobs • Build on the outcomes of previous conferences in this SME series.

The Research for the Benefit of SMEs programme is now recognised as a key element in facilitation of the European SME agenda. The previous conferences have succeeded in bringing together regional, national and European stakeholders including policymakers, enterprises, enterprise development agencies and research communities to address, develop and progress key topics of interest to the community.

This two day conference will seek to promote innovation as a means to facilitate growth and jobs for SMEs.

Ireland's 2013 Presidency of the Council of the European Union involved several conferences. One yielded recommendations on the fostering of innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including increased visibility, networking and mentoring.
