'The main goal of 2008 Researchers’ Night is to present a friendly and interactive face of research and their people. In the framework of the European strategy, the project focuses on the need to foster the interest of the society and the youth, in particular, to the research professions and scientific work. In order to obtain this, the project objectives are described as: 1. Creating 5000 outstanding interactions between visitors and researchers that are going to modify the public perception regarding researchers as professionals and personalities; 2. Raising the public understanding of the contribution of researchers to social and economic progress and development 3. Creating attractive images of science and technology careers for young people. The event is going to be organized in 3 locations, all in Bucharest, in which universities and museums researchers and Marie Curie Awards winners will expose their self and will interact with public, presenting some scientific areas, such as: communications, photo art, renewable energy, medicine, technical progress, ethnography.'
